On the full moon day in the month of Jaistha, Śrī Puruşottama- Jagannātha 's Snāna Yātrā festival is performed. During this time, Śrī Jagannātha, Śrī Balabhadra, and Śrī Subhadrādevī are brought to the snana-vedi or bathing platform in a similar way as Pahāṇḍī Vijaya is done. There a grand bathing ceremony is performed on the three Deities and Sudarsana with 108 gold pitchers of water. After the bathing, the Lord accepts the form of Ganesa. It is said that in order to bathe Śrī Jagannātha with pärijit-scented celestial Ganges water, all the great sages and demigos carry that water on their heads and visit Sri Purusottama Delima, and under the leadership of Brahma, they bathe the Supreme Lord on the bathing platform and offer lavish prayers.
